Hello from Russia

St. Petersburg, Russia is one of those places that I have always wanted to go, but was not sure how to make it happen.  It isn’t a place that I would want to go by myself.  This trip was perfect!  I was able to go to a new place and do so in a very safe way.  I can’t speak or read Russian and getting in and out can be tricky.  With our tour company, they had it all worked out for us.  It was a breeze.  Over the last 2 days we were able to tour St. Petersburg.  We did a city tour, a Russian folk dance and music performance, and then a tour of a palace.  It is hard to capture the beauty of a lot of the buildings.  There was so much that I really wanted to take great pictures of but when you are on a tour bus that can be tricky.  With only a drive-by of some places and only a few minutes at others, I wasn’t able to do all that I wanted.  I was impressed with some of the “I’m moving on a bus” pictures.

I am going to let the pictures do most of the speaking today.  I have included a caption about the location of the different places.  I wish I could share with you the memories that I have of seeing all these places.  My pictures don’t compare to actually seeing these places in person.  I encourage you to travel as much as you can.  I know that my heart is happy while I am exploring.  Nothing else makes me feel as wonderful.

Here is your small taste of St. Petersburg!
